Have you ever been frustrated by a bad experience contacting or visiting a company you’re trying to buy from for the first time? How did you respond? Did you tell friends and family? Did you take your business someplace else?  If you’re like most people, you probably did both (unless it’s a business like the “gotcha” cable company)!

Bad internal marketing is your clinic’s “silent killer.” You won’t see or hear most of the damage. A caller hangs up and calls someplace else. A patient leaves after a visit and decides not to come back…

Beginning with the first point of contact and continuing on everyday, YOU are creating the patience experience. That’s what internal marketing is all about – creating a system to control the service you deliver.

The patient experience should be managed. Internal marketing is a reflection of the experience you intend to deliver – it’s a complete communications system. What you say, how you say it, and when you say it makes a difference. Expectations are set, variety and selection of services made clear, value added and follow-up offers positioned.

Solid internal marketing systems increase booking rates as well as compliance, service utilization, referrals, and repeat business. Solid internal marketing operations create a consistent messaging program that can be replicated from one staff member to the next, from one location to the next. Solid internal marketing operations are the key to “franchising your sales system.”

The PTRM Kick-Start creates a foundation for your clinic to build from – a foundation for growth and more rewarding external marketing (promotion and advertising).

Internal Marketing = START HERE. Don’t skip this step unless you like wasting precious cash and pulling your hair out wondering why your marketing and advertising don’t seem to work.

Training – 4 Steps

The training is broken into 4 steps. The total estimated time to complete all 4 steps is 4.5 hours, as noted below. You can do each step at your own pace. Each part will be either 30 or 60 minutes.

  1. Step 1 is an overview of the key ideas and marketing tools you will be using. 30 Minutes.
  2. Step 2 details the marketing tools. Each client may have a different collection of materials, but this training is limited to the essentials. Understanding the strategy and implementation of the essentials will be helpful when using the ones you actually have in your clinic. 30 Minutes.
  3. Step 3, call training, is done live on scheduled webinars. There are 3 webinars required to complete the training. See the current webinar schedule here when you are ready to begin this step. 3 1 hour webinars.
  4. Step 4, self test. In order to complete the training, you need to get all the questions correct. It is OK to take the test as many times as you like. You are not “graded.” You can take the test,  look at your wrong answers, go back to the materials and review, and then correct your answers.  Your “grade” will be how well you implement the concepts in your work. 30 minutes.

Support – Ongoing

PTRM subscribers should take advantage of the support available. Support calls include:

  1. Review of your marketing plan and progress.
  2. Creation of new concepts, updates, and modifications to your content.
  3. Additional training and implementation support.

Support calls for subscribers are typically scheduled for the same day/time each month. The 2nd Tuesday of every month at 2PM, for example. If you need to schedule an optional (or additional) support call, just let us know. Some service plans include additional calls. If not, we’ll let you know the cost beforehand.
